About Us

Reliable, Local Transportation Services

PrivaDrive, LLC is a locally and veteran-owned transportation company, servicing Michigan City, Indiana, and surrounding areas of northwest Indiana, southwest Michigan, and Chicagoland regions.  Jeremy Blacksten, CEO, founded the company in December of 2021, along with his wife, Stephanie Blacksten, CAO.  Their best friend Eric Torness, COO, joined the company as a consultant in 2022 after 15 years in the military, then became a partner in 2023.

The business formed as Jeremy realized the demand for drivers in the area was astonishing. Other transportation companies were extremely lacking in reliability and professionalism in the market, and providing top tier transportation to the community was something Jeremy knew he could accomplish.

Our Fleet

Our current fleet consists of  Honda Odysseys that fit seven passengers and Ford Transits that fit fourteen passengers.  Updated with the latest safety technology, Honda and Ford bring some of the best safety ratings to their vehicles that are currently on the market.  We wanted to bring reliability to not only our service but also our vehicles.

I have had two great experiences with PrivaDrive. The first was taking me to and from O'Hare for 20+ hour international flights. The second was for domestic flights in and out of Midway. I even had to change my return flight last minute to the following morning on the latter, and they were very accommodating. My family and I had a great experience with PrivaDrive. We scheduled a ride from NWI to Midway after visiting some  family. Jeremy arrived on time and even dropped off our borrowed car seat! Minivan was clean inside and in great condition. Plenty of room for our family of 4. PrivaDrive will be our go-to when we are back in town.

We registered our LLC in December of 2021, but Jeremy has been doing rideshare business off and on since 2016.

Yes. All of our vehicles are commercially insured with a $1.5 million policy, and we also have general liability. We also have interstate operating authority through the FMCSA. We are federally registered for our DOT as well. The DOT number is 3905590, and the MC number is 1440134. Our drivers that are required to have “for hire” licenses, are currently up to date as well.

Our business is operated out of Michigan City, Indiana, and services the areas of (but not limited to) Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and Chicagoland.

Our fleet consists of Honda Odysseys and Ford Transits. We also have a Chevrolet Traverse

Our Honda Odysseys can seat up to 7 passengers, and the Ford Transits can seat up to 14. The Chevrolet Traverse can seat up to 6.
